Mother’s Day was hard for me. I was moving through the grief…that comes with growth and I was exhausted. Without attaching a story to it, old pain coming up to be released for further alchemy. For further freedom.
I was called to ✨Mother✨ myself.
To rest & receive the love of my own heart, my own Source. My instinct would be to super-ride that need and put on a happy face, go socialize and be merry. But instead, I canceled our morning plans and stayed in bed to rest and renew.
I surrendered, let go of what I thought it should look like and I took care of myself.
I let my daughter watch PawPatrol on TV. I took an hour-long bath and rested, did some Creative Alchemy™ to move the grief. Later we took a walk and then we baked a berry crisp together for our evening plans which were filled with joy and celebration, mostly because I honored myself.
Happy Mother’s Day to my Mother, who gave me life and gifts…. gifts I am still unpacking.
For Sophia who has initiated me into Motherhood and who also is a daily reminder of the unceasing joy and fierceness we all have access to at any moment, and the preciousness of this life.
And also that true security, safety and nourishment for a child rests in our connection, our bond, our attachment. Let us create a world where a Mother is supported in creating this emotional connection and stability for her child and it is of high value.
For all those that are devoted Mother’s to awakening, regardless of gender, to the Great Mother and to her liberation in us all.
May we all drink from the waters of her nourishment and remember the truth of our eternal, unconditional love for ourselves and each other…
