How can you love from a place without expectation, need or attachment?

 

This is f*cking hard.

 

We have been so conditioned to love---love with an expectation of having our fantasies fulfilled by the other. Love with attachment to outcome, to societies definitions, to other people’s opinions, judgements and projections.

 

And here in lies the disappointment. This model of relationship we have been sold is a set up for failure & disappointment. If we look to others to be the way we need them to be for us to be happy, we trap them… and most importantly…we trap ourselves.

 

And in doing this, we block the true love we are desiring from showing us the way.

 

Instead, we need to BE love. Embody love. Live in the grace of love.

Choose love in every moment. Especially when we feel like we may not get what we want, the way we want it. The work is resiliency. Show up for love. Being love is always the answer and it starts with us.

 

Love in its purity ---is a purifier.

 

It will purify you of your deepest illusions. It will trigger your biggest wounds to the surface for loving back into wholeness and it will force you, to face yourself and surrender to the divine ride of your life, ultimately back to yourself and discovering the truth of who you are. Shattering the illusions of who you thought you were. 

 

Anything but love.
