Published: Thu, 01/12/17

Greetings Creative Ones,

I am thrilled to announce a new offering in collaboration with my FIRST Expressive Arts Mentor, Anin Ugitaard, from San Francisco...

Finding Your Voice with Paint & Sound

with Melissa D’Antoni, MACP

and

Anin Utigaard, MFT, REAT

“When we can embrace what is within, we can then embrace what is outside of ourselves.”

~ Anin Utigaard, MFT, REAT

Each person has a one-of-a-kind voice: a “soul-song” that is unique and individual.  When we tap into this sacred vessel and listen with acceptance, a healing takes place, a recognition and a sense of peace with Self is discovered.  Having a voice, is a powerful resource that many are uncomfortable using. Being unable to use one’s voice, for whatever reason, can result in feeling unheard, invisible or devalued.  How is the voice linked to our personal power, health and well-being? Anin and Melissa with co+creative a safe creative container to explore various creative experiences, incorporating movement, art, sound, music, drama and meditation, we will gently explore our relationship to our own “authentic voice” and full self-expression.

Using the Person-Centered approach along with  Authentic Voicework and the Fire Tree Method ™, Anin and Melissa will invite participants to explore their “authentic voice”  with sound and painting.  What sounds and rhythms does our art evoke? How does music and the voice influence our visual art expression through symbol, archetype, color and image? And hence, our daily lives? Since much of our artwork comes from a deep vessel within, does it have a sound as well?

Remember, no prior art or vocal experience is necessary for this  immersion into the non-verbal, primal voice and we will focus on process NOT product or performance.
