The Phoenix Rising Experience(TM)

Rebecca shared with me what she recently shared with a potential client about her experience... I was so moved by her own growth and expression, that with her suggestion I felt inspired to share with you here...ENJOY!
When I embarked upon my journey with Melissa, I was one of the first participants. No doubt The Phoenix Rising Experience(TM) has evolved and expanded since then...Melissa is also 100% committed to her own spiritual and professional evolution. Here is my personal insight for you all with questions about the program.
Can you tell me why you chose to participate?
I came to Austin from Australia with my family - my husband is a guitar maker - knowing that I wanted to explore the expressive arts -I am an artist/art educator - and quite simply, due to a serendipitous alignment, I found myself in Melissa's studio. At once I knew that I had found what I was searching for and asked her to teach me everything she knows! So, I was open to everything she had to offer, and the first version of the PRE was part of my process.
The sense of what you might get out of it prior to attending?
To be honest, I had no idea. I was just willing to be open and felt ready to do 'the work'. (Uncovering patterns/beliefs/judgments that were preventing me from fulfilling my highest creative truth in the world.)
Thereafter, what you actually received from the program and perhaps how that may have differed from your initial perspective?
Well, I had no idea what a wild and tumultuous journey I was about to embark upon. It completely changed my life. I have described it as the unloading of baggage. That analogy of carrying a backpack of beliefs/judgments/less than serving patterns around that weighs us down. We are aware that it's there, but we don't know how to take it off. Perhaps it's not about taking it off, perhaps it's about coming to peace with what's inside...Through the PRE, I was witnessed in a safe and sacred space (held by Melissa) uncovering its contents. I lay them out before me, acknowledged them, forgave them and expressed my gratitude for them making me who I am today. These days that backpack is much lighter and I have a wonderful toolbox from which to draw helpful and effective ways to move through it's contents when they arise (and they will) with far more grace and acceptance.
How do you currently utilize the material in your day to day life?
All of the material I learnt and experienced through the PRE is now embodied. I use it every moment of every day in the way I process my own experiences, in the ways I parent my children, communicate with my husband and family, facilitate my own workshops and classes and most importantly, in the way I relate to and talk to myself.
The changes and the difference it has made in your life?
After years of seeking external validation and giving my power away, I now am aware of and practice living my life trusting, listening to and acting upon my own internal guidance, my intuitive voice. I also have a deep respect for that which is greater than me -Spirit, the Universe...whatever speaks to you...and I am willing to surrender to it and be held by it. I still have my moments, but for the most part I feel more empowered to create and manifest my highest vision, to speak my truth, to hold strong boundaries for myself and to shine my light in the world.
If I could do it all again, I would.
Take a quiet moment/s for yourself, close your eyes and center your energy on your heart.
Maybe place your hand there. In that stillness, ask if this is for you...and listen...
