NEW BLOG: do you know what makes you happy?

 I
often ask this question to my clients and friends that are also on the
path of self-exploration and inquiry. Knowing what truly makes you
happy is like discovering a gold mine...again and again. It is half the
battle. Knowing how to fulfill that yearning is the other half. The
real mystery of this question as I have discovered, much like the
creative process is that it is constantly changing!
And that is
why we also crave the magic of life...the mystery of the great
unknown... because we would get bored if everything was super clear,
consistent without an element of change, growth and evolution. What has fulfilled me in previous days--- dies and no longer meets the needs of who I am now.
What fulfills me now could be something totally different and it is out
of my commitment to myself--my love and to truly honor myself-- I
realize we must come to terms with this discovery that keeps us awake
and alive.
Enlightenment or inner peace isn't a place you get to and
just chill out - that is a myth-- it is an ACTIVE creative
process where you constantly are given opportunities to surrender to the
unknown in the present moment and receive all that live has to deliver
to you.
So are there things, jobs, people, experiences that served your fulfillment that no longer do?
Are your current 'vices' not giving you the fix you once needed?
It is time
for an upgrade and exploration of what truly makes you happy. And
this...only this can come from within you--when you are first honest
with yourself.
