I had a very 'successful' therapist colleague tell me once, ‘You should use another photo on your website’. She said, that my bio picture was too, ’hot’ and that it was intimidating to other women and that my business might flourish more, if I downplayed my looks. That I was too attractive and that some people might not want to work with me. 

Waaaait what? I remember thinking WTF??! I am here to ignite people to live in their potency, full-self expression & joy--- why would I dim down my light in order to attract clients? Or anyone for that matter.
 

Another reason why I chose not to be a therapist. 
 

That kinda of scarcity thinking never worked for me. I am not willing to make myself small for anyone ever. Anymore. 

Sure… in the past I used to do it once upon-a-time, I fell prey to the pressure as we as women are so conditioned to hide, play it safe, and make ourselves small. To play victim in order to help other people feel safe. And the worst is we do it to each other. Shame gets tossed around like a hot potato looking for someone who has enough love to say no. No more. Not me. I am going to break the cycle. 

No one can make you eat a shame sandwich unless you take a bite. 
Nothing ever good comes doing something inauthentic to attract something that is right and meant for you. Your truth radiates and magnetizes. And repels. It protects. So shine your light. Speak your truth. Magnetize. Alchemize. ---transform anything that is getting in the way into power and light.

I love this photo, it captures my essence and my evolving maturation –a part I had yet to embrace within myself. My sovereignty. At home in it all.
